The Living human treasure project includes provisions to support and stimulate the carriers so they will make their best efforts and fulfill their duties to safeguard the Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Stimulation provisions are diverse:

  • Subsidy given by the government.
  • Donation of a sum of money.
  • Facilities and free assistance.

Objective of the assistance and stimulation for carriers:

  • Help them maintain, deepen and preserve their knowledge and skills.
  • Promote transfer and transition of their knowledge and skills to the younger generation.
  • Promote the transfer of knowledge and skills by means of formal and informal training programs.

Type of assistance and stimulation for carriers:

  • Stimulate documentation of the Intangible Cultural Heritage by means of audio and video recordings.
  • Ensure for the carriers to get sufficient publicity and recognition in the community.
  • Stimulate the publication of important and relevant data of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
  • Public distribution of the knowledge and skills of the carriers.
  • Facilitate formal and informal encounters between the new generation and Intangible Cultural Heritage.
